Club 2071 Woodland Garden

Club 2071 Woodland Garden is a medium-sized private garden set within a spruce forest west of Moscow. As with many of our projects, the brief was “a garden where nothing looks designed, but feels naturally beautiful”. The site is notably wet, with a stream running underground through part of the garden. In the woodland areas, where ground elder formed a dense ground cover — impossible to eradicate — the planting was strengthened with competitive species able to co-exist with it. The front garden contrasts this with linear hedges and bands of perennial meadow planting growing beneath pines and Prunus maakii.
