Moscow Polytechnic Museum Garden
In 2011, Japanese architect Junya Ishigami, known for his artistic and experimental approach, won the international competition for the renovation of the Moscow Polytechnic Museum — Russia’s principal science museum. A large public realm formed a central part of the proposal, featuring complex topography and a naturalistic planting strategy.
Anna was commissioned by Ishigami to develop the planting design for the project. The planting was conceived as an integral part of the landscape architecture, supporting the spatial ambition of the scheme through layered, resilient plant communities and seasonally dynamic compositions.
